A Movie a Day for a Year

I have many movies in my collection, many of them I haven’t gotten around to watching. This year I’ve decided to change that.

I got the idea from this article on Independent. However, there is no way I’d be going to a movie theater every day for a year, I don’t have the bank account or the time for that.

The basic idea is that I will start with my DVD collection. When I run out of DVDs, I have access to Netflix and YouTube and a local movie theater (though I’m not going to make the theater a priority).

I will also make use of movie lists. There’s one I found on Facebook that seems pretty fun, and I might start there just to give myself a little direction.

I’ll post a movie review on this blog every day with a new movie. I am an Amazon Affiliate (disclaimer!) so I will also link back to it in case anyone is interested in watching/purchasing a copy.

I will be starting on February 01, 2020 and finishing on February 02, 2021 just to be thorough.

As the majority of these movies I already own it’ll be safe to say that I liked them enough to spend money on them. However, I will be using a five star system:

★ : I did not like it.
★ ★: It was okay.
★ ★ ★: I liked it.
★ ★ ★ ★: I really liked it.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★: I loved it.

At this point I’d like to think that I could carry on reviewing movies past the end date of this project, and maybe I will. However, I also have the realistic view that by the end of this project I might be burned out or bored. So who knows what the next year will bring? So let’s enjoy the ride!
